about

EMC Contemporary is a curatorial platform nomadic art gallery dedicated to community-building and artist advocacy. EMC seeks to foster a dynamic and inclusive space that facilitates learning and cultivates meaningful connections between artists, curators, and the public.

Through a hybrid model of in-person and online exhibitions (and everything in between), EMC is committed to supporting artists at all stages of their careers. Working closely with galleries, institutions, and arts organizations in Canada and abroad as a forum for artists to engage in professional and creative development, EMC will provide opportunities and accessible resources to support and guide artists navigating the art world.

EMC Contemporary is structured around three core pillars:

Presented both online and in-person (think: IRL and URL!), with a focus on emerging and underrepresented voices.

(1) Curated Exhibitions

(2) Artist Resource Hub

Offering grant support, residency guidance, and space for critique and career development.

Creating opportunities for exchange between artists, curators, and audiences through events, panels, and workshops.

(3) Public Forums & Dialogue
