Sydné Barnes-Wright is an interdisciplinary artist and designer born in Jamaica and raised in Ontario, Canada. Working across textiles, garment design, furniture, photography, and drawing, her practice is grounded in material exploration and shaped by her diasporic experience.

She holds a Bachelor of Design in Textiles and Material Arts from OCAD University. Barnes-Wright’s work investigates migration, memory, and cultural continuity, using design as a tool to connect people and reimagine inherited narratives.
